First Call releases 2014 Child Poverty Report Card

Roughly one in five children in BC are living in poverty, a rate that is on the rise. In 2012 there were 169,240 children living in poverty, up from 153,000 the year before. Single mothers are disproportionately affected by poverty, yet BC continues without a poverty reduction plan. It is now the only province in Canada without one. Read the full report for more details
